If you need a laptop that offers top performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning applications, or gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is equipped with a more powerful processor and a high-performance dedicated graphics card, which will serve you well, albeit at a higher cost and less portability due to its heavier weight. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 16 5630, while less expensive, provides adequate performance for general use and even some engineering tasks, and is more portable due to its lighter weight. It also typically offers a longer battery life, which may be beneficial if you often work on the go. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 stands out for engineering and design due to its robust CPU (Intel i9), a more powerful GPU (Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti), and a high refresh rate screen, making it very well-suited for resource-intensive tasks, whereas the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 with its Intel i7 CPU and integrated Iris Xe graphics may handle engineering applications but with less power which might not be as optimal for demanding design work. While both have high-quality IPS screens with similar resolutions, the ASUS's GPU gives it an edge for rendering tasks, albeit with less portability and potentially higher operating noise than the quieter and lighter Dell.

For general use, the screen quality on both the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is good because they offer high resolution displays with ample brightness, making text, images, and videos clear and easily visible. When it comes to engineering and design, both laptops provide good screen quality with wide color gamuts, ensuring professionals in these fields see accurate colors and fine details necessary for their work. How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
