The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is aimed at high-level gaming and performance-driven tasks with its powerful components, but this also makes it heavier and with less battery life. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is more budget-friendly, with sufficient capabilities for general use and a lighter build for better portability, along with longer battery life. If you need a machine primarily for demanding engineering tasks, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the ASUS, despite its higher cost and lesser portability, would be suitable. For general computing needs and better value, the Dell Inspiron would be a sound choice. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 excels in gaming and 3D applications owing to its powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU which supports advanced graphics features and a high screen refresh rate of 300 Hz, making it ideal for high-speed gaming. In comparison, the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 has a modest Intel Iris Xe graphics and a typical 60 Hz refresh rate, which, while capable of handling some gaming and 3D tasks, will not deliver the same level of performance or visual fluidity.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"If the world is exciting enough right now, you can do far worse than a solid performer that you know will get the job done. Our review model is as powerful as you'd want an office machine to be unless you're performing specialist tasks and the price point is pretty attractive (unless work will let you have a MacBook Air instead)."
