The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is better for demanding tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering and intensive gaming due to its high-end processor and powerful dedicated graphics card. However, it's more expensive and has a shorter battery life than the Dell Inspiron 15 3525, which might be more suitable for general use, especially considering its touchscreen and longer battery life. The Dell is also lighter and more portable, making it convenient for travel. The ASUS offers a higher screen refresh rate beneficial for fast-motion content but is heavier and thicker, reducing its portability. Choose the ASUS if performance for heavy applications and gaming is a priority and you are okay with a higher price and less portability. Opt for the Dell if you prefer a more budget-friendly, portable laptop for everyday tasks with a longer battery life. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS has superior screen resolution and brightness, offering a sharper and more vibrant visual experience, while the Dell's screen is adequate but less striking. In engineering and design tasks, the ASUS excels with a wide color gamut, ensuring more accurate color representation which is critical, whereas the Dell's color range is less broad, making it less ideal for color-sensitive work. When it comes to gaming and 3D, the ASUS falls short due to a lower refresh rate, resulting in less fluid motion compared to systems with higher rates, while the Dell shares this limitation, leaving both less suited for high-speed gaming or 3D rendering.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Many of its slightly higher-end rivals have to be on sale (and frequently are) to match it on price, but the Inspiron 15 (3525) is outclassed even by some similarly priced options, making it a difficult recommendation."
