Considering your needs and budget will be crucial in deciding between the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3511. The ASUS is better for high-end gaming and intensive tasks such as video editing or 3D modeling due to its high-performance processor and advanced graphics card. It also has a higher refresh rate display for smoother visuals in gaming. However, this means it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the Dell offers solid performance for everyday tasks like web browsing, office applications, and media consumption with better battery life and a significantly lower price point, making it more suitable for general use and for those who prioritize portability and value. How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a solid, if unremarkable, 15-inch budget laptop. It improves on many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model, and with the inclusion of Windows 11, the 3511 is already a step above its competition. The lack of a USB-C port, the subpar speakers, and the dim display are drawbacks to factor in, but it's still one of the better 15-inch budget laptops on the market, especially when you consider it's under $400."
