If you prioritize gaming and intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 15, with its stronger graphics unit and high refresh screen, is the superior choice. However, it is heavier and less portable than the Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED, which offers a lighter build and better screen for general use with higher resolution and color accuracy. The Vivobook also has a longer battery life, making it more suitable for on-the-go use and extended periods away from a power outlet. Additionally, the Vivobook is more wallet-friendly than the ROG Strix Scar 15, which carries a higher price tag. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 stands out for gaming and 3D applications due to its high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a screen refresh rate of up to 300 Hz, enhancing the smoothness and responsiveness crucial for gaming. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED, while still a competent choice for gaming and 3D with its Intel Iris Xe graphics, is better suited for tasks where screen quality is paramount, such as media consumption or creative work, thanks to its OLED display that promises higher contrast and color accuracy but has a lower refresh rate of 120 Hz .

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, with its high resolution and brightness, offers a vivid and crisp display that's great for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work but its lower refresh rate may not deliver the smoothest experience in fast-paced 3D gaming. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED boasts an OLED panel that provides exceptional color accuracy and contrast, making it ideal for both general use and professional design applications, yet like the ROG Strix, it lacks a high refresh rate crucial for gaming. Despite their impressive displays for productivity and creative work, neither laptop is optimized for gaming, where screen responsiveness is key.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED are both very good for engineering and design.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is favored for engineering and design due to its powerful Intel i9 processor, dedicated Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, and good screen quality suitable for detailed work, but its heavier build and louder operating noise may be less appealing for users needing higher portability and quieter performance. How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
