The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers high performance suitable for intensive gaming, engineering, and 3D/machine learning tasks with its powerful processor and graphics but at a higher price, less portability, and lower battery life compared to the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14. The Vivobook Pro 14, with its OLED screen and lightweight design, provides better battery life and is easier to carry, making it more suitable for general use and everyday tasks, while also being more affordable. However, for tasks requiring substantial computing power, it falls short relative to the Scar 15. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 outperforms the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 in gaming and 3D tasks mostly due to its much more powerful graphics card, the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti, compared to the integrated graphics in the Vivobook Pro 14. Furthermore, the Scar 15 has a higher screen refresh rate which provides smoother visuals, essential for gaming, while the Vivobook has a lower refresh rate that might not be as fluid for fast-paced games.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 stands out for engineering and design due to its high-performance CPU, substantial RAM, and powerful GPU, which are crucial for demanding tasks, along with a quality IPS screen, although it's heavier and louder, affecting portability and operating noise. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14, while still suitable for engineering and design with its high-resolution OLED screen that provides excellent color accuracy and lightweight design for better portability, falls short in performance because it has a less powerful CPU, less RAM, and relies on integrated graphics.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 has a better screen for general use, and engineering and design.
When considering laptops for general use, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14's high resolution and brightness, along with its panel type, provide a sharp, vibrant display, making it superior for everyday tasks compared to the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15. For engineering and design, both laptops boast impressive color gamuts, allowing for precise color work, but the Vivobook stands out with slightly better coverage essential for professional color grading. However, for gaming and 3D applications where refresh rate is crucial, the ROG Strix Scar 15 falls short due to its lower refresh rate, despite its adequate resolution and appropriate panel type, which are less critical but still valued in these scenarios.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is a Pantone Validated laptop that packs a lot of processing power. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED's highlight is its outstanding display: Featuring a 3K resolution in the 16:10 format and nearly a 100% coverage of the Display P3 color space, the display hardly leaves anything to be desired. The Asus laptop also shows impeccable rates in terms of general system performance. Combined with long battery life, low noise emissions, and relatively good speakers, the laptop can be recommended to users who can accept compromises in terms of connectivity."
