The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is positioned for upper midrange budgets and is designed for high performance with a focus on gaming and intensive tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, reflected in its superior graphics card and processor. However, its battery life is average and it is heavier, which impacts portability. Alternatively, the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is a budget-friendly option with modest hardware suitable for everyday tasks and general use, offering better battery life and lighter weight for improved portability, but it falls short in performance for demanding applications and does not support intensive gaming. The choice depends on whether you prioritize gaming and high performance over cost and portability. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 offers a well-rounded display with solid resolution and brightness, making it appealing for general use, and its wide color gamuts cater to the precision needed for engineering and design tasks. However, despite its decent resolution and panel type, the screen falls short for gaming and 3D applications where a high refresh rate is key to smooth visuals and it doesn't excel in this area. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Go 15's display doesn't meet the threshold for quality in any of these areas due to limited resolution and brightness, along with restrictive color range, which diminish its effectiveness across all use cases.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The Asus Vivobook Go 15 is a good option if you’re looking for one device to tackle a bunch of smaller problems. For simple school studies, portable evening entertainment or distractions, and getting household admin or light office workloads out of the way, it’s a great little package with respectable battery life, and a great contender for the advent of cloud gaming."
