The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is tailored for high-performance tasks like gaming or intensive engineering applications due to its powerful processor and graphics card, along with a high-refresh-rate screen. It comes with a heftier price, weight, and typically shorter battery life. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is more budget-friendly, lighter and offers longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and highly portable, but it isn't designed for demanding software or gaming due to its less powerful processor and graphics capabilities. Choose the ROG Strix Scar 15 for demanding tasks and if budget is less of a concern, or the Vivobook Go 14 for everyday tasks with better portability and value. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 excels in gaming and 3D because it houses a powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and has a high 300 Hz screen refresh rate for smooth visuals, whereas the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 has a modest AMD Radeon 610M GPU and a standard 60 Hz screen refresh rate, which limits performance and display fluidity in such demanding tasks.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a bright, high-resolution display that provides crisp and clear visuals, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 offers a decent display but with lower brightness and resolution. In engineering and design, the ROG Strix Scar 15 excels with a wider range of colors, covering more of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces, whereas the Vivobook's color range is more limited, making it less ideal for color-sensitive work. Regarding 3D and gaming, the ROG Strix’s screen falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can affect the smoothness of fast-moving images, while the Vivobook Go 14, despite a fair screen performance, is also not suited for such tasks due to similar limitations.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."
