If you need higher performance for tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning or gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is an excellent choice but it's more expensive and heavier, which impacts portability. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is more affordable, lightweight and offers longer battery life, making it ideal for general use like browsing, watching videos or working on documents. If your work involves engineering software or graphics-intensive applications, the Strix Scar 15 is better suited, despite being less convenient to carry around. If cost and portability are your main concerns, and your tasks are less demanding, the Vivobook Go 12 should suffice. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 excels in general use with its powerful CPU, ample RAM, and high-quality IPS screen, but it is less portable and has shorter battery life. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 offers great portability and longer battery life, but its performance is limited by a basic CPU, less RAM, and a lower-quality TN screen, making it less suitable for demanding tasks.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is excellent for gaming and 3D applications due to its powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and high screen refresh rate of up to 300, which is far superior to the ASUS Vivobook Go 12's basic Intel UHD Graphics 600 GPU and lower refresh rate of 60. The ROG Strix Scar 15 also features a more capable processor and better screen quality, which contribute to its strong performance in intensive tasks, where the Vivobook Go 12's less powerful CPU and lower-quality screen don't provide the same level of capability.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a high-quality display with strong resolution and brightness, making it suitable for general use and detailed engineering tasks that require accurate color representation like the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color gamuts. However, its refresh rate might not be high enough for the most responsive gaming and 3D modeling experiences, which depend heavily on fast refresh rates to provide smooth motion. The ASUS Vivobook Go 12, on the other hand, likely has lower resolution and brightness, resulting in less vivid colors and details across the board, making it less ideal for any of the discussed use cases.

"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
