The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, being slightly less expensive and lighter, may be more appealing if you favor portability and budget-friendliness. The Scar 17, on the other hand, offers a larger display and a higher screen refresh rate, which could enhance the gaming or multimedia experience but comes at a higher price and increased weight, making it less portable. Both share the same storage, RAM, and powerful processors, suitable for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D work, and machine learning. Their build and performance for engineering and general use are similar, with differences mostly in screen size and portability. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
