The ASUS ROG Strix G16 offers strong performance for gaming and intensive tasks at a lower price point, making it a good value choice; however, its bulk may reduce its portability. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE78 typically costs more but may offer superior performance and features that may be appealing if you require the highest-end specifications for demanding applications or if you value additional premium features. Consider battery life as well; gaming laptops often have shorter battery lives, especially when running intensive software or games. If you frequently travel or use your laptop on the go, the extra weight and shorter battery life may be important factors. Choose the ASUS for a cost-effective balance of power and price, or the MSI for top-tier performance and features, with a premium price to match. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2024) and the MSI Raider GE78 compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
"Performance-wise, the GE78 offers a significant boost over the GE77 for just slightly higher power consumption. You'll have to get the RTX 4080 or 4090 configurations to see the performance advantages, however, as the RTX 4070 is closer in performance to the older RTX 3080 Ti. In terms of design, some users might prefer the 16:9 minimalistic look of the older GE77 over the 16:10 retro-inspired GE78 and vice versa. We wouldn't call one better than the other in terms of aesthetics, but we'll give the edge to the GE78 for its stronger hinges and larger keys and clickpad."
