The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is generally less expensive and offers a solid balance for general use, engineering, and gaming with good performance, but comes with a smaller screen and less storage. It's a bit heavier and has a larger battery, potentially offering longer usage between charges. The Razer Blade 17, while more expensive, brings top-end specs with a larger, sharper display, more RAM and double the storage, and high performance suitable for the most demanding tasks like 3D rendering and intensive gaming. It is thinner and slightly lighter than the ASUS, but has a lower battery capacity which may reduce the time you can use it without plugging in. Choose the ASUS for a more budget-friendly option with ample performance or the Razer for superior specs and display at a higher cost. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | March 2023
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | July 2022
"Our test configuration of the Blade 17 targets gamers and creative professionals. A Core i9-12900H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP after the BIOS update, 16 GB of VRAM), and 32 GB of working memory equip the laptop for video processing, rending, and 4k gaming at the highest level. In addition, a fast PCIe-4 SSD (1 TB) ensures short load and storage times. With the Blade 17 (Early 2022), Razer delivers a successful and powerful work device for creative professionals. But this also has its price."
