The ASUS ROG Strix G16 offers higher performance, better for intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D modeling, or engineering software due to its powerful processor and advanced graphics card, making it suitable for professionals or enthusiasts in those fields. However, its portability is lower because it's heavier and thicker. On the other hand, the HP Pavilion 15 is more budget-friendly and lightweight, making it easier to carry around. Its performance is suitable for general use like web browsing, office applications, and media consumption, but not ideal for heavy-duty tasks. Battery life varies, with the HP likely having lower longevity due to its budget nature, while the ASUS might offer more usage time per charge to support its powerful components. Choose the ASUS if performance is crucial and you don't mind the extra weight and cost, or the HP if you prefer something more affordable and portable for everyday tasks. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | March 2023
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."

TechRadar

Alex Cox | August 2022
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
