The ASUS ROG Strix G16 offers a dedicated graphics card, which is ideal for intensive gaming, as well as tasks such as 3D rendering and machine learning. It also comes with a high refresh rate screen, favorable for fast-paced games. However, it is larger, heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the Dell XPS 13 Plus. The Dell XPS 13 Plus, on the other hand, is lighter and more compact with better portability and a longer battery life. Its OLED touchscreen provides higher resolution and color accuracy, which is great for general use and engineering. You should note that the Dell XPS also has more RAM, which can improve overall performance, but it relies on integrated graphics, which may limit performance in gaming or 3D tasks compared to the ASUS. How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 and the Dell XPS 13 Plus compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
