The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition provides significantly higher performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive gaming due to its more powerful processor and GPU, but it's heavier and has a larger form factor, which impacts its portability. The MSI Modern 14, on the other hand, offers adequate performance for general use and professional tasks with a much lighter and thinner design, making it more suitable for on-the-go users who prioritize portability and a modest price over cutting-edge performance. Battery life is also a consideration, with the ASUS offering more hours of typical usage, but this comes with a trade-off in added weight and size. Both laptops have similar screen sizes and resolutions, but the ASUS's display is better suited to fast motion and color-intensive tasks. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
