The ASUS ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition is comparatively more expensive and may offer a higher performance for 3D tasks, intensive gaming, and engineering software due to its powerful AMD combo for CPU and GPU. It also has a larger screen and more sizable battery but is heavier, which makes it less portable than the Dell Alienware x14 R1. Conversely, the Alienware, with its Intel and Nvidia hardware, is somewhat less expensive, more portable with a lighter build, and has a higher screen pixel density for sharper images. While both have the same RAM and storage, the Alienware also scores better in color accuracy, making it suitable for tasks requiring exact color reproduction. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Andrew E. Freedman | August 2022
"The Asus ROG Strix G15, as the first in a line of "AMD Advantage"-branded notebooks, is a statement that yes, you can get a premium AMD gaming notebook. Maybe you can't have it all, but you can get pretty close. The ROG Strix G15's combination of the AMD Ryzen 5900HX and Radeon RX 6800M, as well as other technologies that take advantage of them, make a potent, thin gaming machine. Powerful Dolby Atmos speakers and long battery life when you aren't gaming are nice bonuses."

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | March 2022
"The Alienware X14 series is thinner, but also slower than the competition. With the X series, you get plenty of modern technology: Intel Alder Lake CPUs, GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs, Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6E, G-Sync, and Advanced Optimus. However, the slim design has some drawbacks, just like its larger siblings. The shifted hinge position results in a very deep device with a large footprint compared to the competition."
