The ASUS ROG Flow X16 is generally less expensive and offers a higher refresh rate display, increased portability, and solid performance in general use, 3D/machine learning, and engineering tasks, making it suitable for gaming as well. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X has an OLED display providing better color accuracy and contrast, and it excels at tasks that require a high-resolution screen, such as creative work, though it is somewhat more expensive and has a standard refresh rate. Both have similar storage, RAM, processors, and graphic capabilities, but the Zenbook shines for creative professionals while the ROG Flow is more versatile for gaming and general high-performance needs. NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | June 2023
"Above all else, the Asus ROG Flow X16 is one thing - versatile! It is a thin, mobile work device, it's a 2-in-1, tablet, a powerful workstation and even a gaming PC. But something even more surprising: It does all of these things really well without making any big blunders. It's anything but a lazy compromise. Because, despite its compact dimensions and 2-in-1 functionality, the hardware isn't throttled and boasts, at least in turbo mode, above-average performance."

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter, Alex Wätzel | November 2023
"The new Zenbook Pro 16X is more powerful, quieter and doesn't need to shy away from dedicated workstations and gamers. It is also comparatively compact, and our test device is the best Zenbook that we've reviewed so far. It seems equally suitable for content creators and gamers or anyone looking for a very powerful laptop that is still slim."
