When choosing between the ASUS ROG Flow X13 and the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17, consider how you will use the laptop. The Flow X13 is more portable and suitable for someone who needs to move around a lot with their computer, but it may have less raw power and a smaller screen than the Strix Scar 17. On the other hand, the Strix Scar 17 likely offers more performance for gaming or heavy tasks like video editing due to its larger size, which accommodates more powerful hardware and better cooling. However, its larger size means it's less convenient to carry. Battery life typically varies between models, with the smaller, less powerful laptops like the Flow X13 often having longer battery life due to lower power consumption. If you prioritize portability and battery life, the X13 may be the better choice, but if performance for high-end tasks is more important to you, the Strix Scar 17 could be preferable. Give Feedback

Sebastian Bade | February 2021
"The Asus ROG Flow X13 is not an off-the-shelf convertible. This quickly becomes clear when you take a closer look at the technical specs. The AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS is a state-of-the-art SoC with 8 cores and 16 threads, which also makes the 2-in-1 interesting as a work device. With 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, gamers are also well taken care of. The dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q fits well into the overall concept and ensures a solid 3D performance. With the eGPU dock, which is equipped with a GeForce RTX 3080, the small convertible transforms into a full-fledged desktop replacement in terms of performance."

Allen Ngo | May 2021
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
