The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is often less expensive with better portability, a higher-resolution display, fanless silent operation, and longer battery life, ideal for general use and mobile professionals prioritizing a lightweight machine and macOS ecosystem. On the other hand, the MSI Vector GP76 offers a larger screen, significantly better performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering software due to its potent processor and graphics card, more storage and RAM, and a higher refresh rate display, catering to power users who need robust performance and don't mind a heavier, less portable device with a shorter battery life and Windows operating system. The MSI Vector GP76 is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is good.
The MSI Vector GP76 outperforms the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) for engineering and design primarily due to its superior CPU, significantly higher RAM capacity, and a more powerful GPU which is vital for demanding software; moreover, the MSI offers a larger screen, although with a lower resolution and pixel density compared to the MacBook Pro's smaller but higher-quality display. However, the MacBook Pro excels in portability with its lighter build and significantly longer battery life, and provides a quieter working experience as it operates silently, factors that might appeal to professionals who prioritize mobility and minimal distraction over raw performance.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the MSI Vector GP76 for general use, and engineering and design, while the MSI Vector GP76 has a better screen for gaming and AI, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) delivers excellent screen quality for general use through its high-resolution display with bright and vivid colors, making the viewing experience crisp and detailed. For engineering and design, its coverage of wider color gamuts ensures accurate color representation, which is crucial for professional creative work. However, for 3D tasks which demand quick image refreshes, the MacBook Pro's screen falls short as it prioritizes resolution and color quality over high refresh rates that are essential for smooth rendering in gaming and 3D modeling.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the MSI Vector GP76 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The MSI Vector GP76 12UGS is a gaming laptop on speed. The advantages are clear: The Vector GP76 is a real gamer with its 360 Hz display and super-fast response times. In addition, the Core i7-12700H has double the power of the CPU in its predecessor and another highlight is the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti with a real power consumption of 150 watts. This places the device in the top range of our database. The Vector can also operate rather quietly, offers a full sound range, improved battery runtimes, a key-configurable RGB keyboard, a very stable chassis and good upgrade options. Moreover, the display produces a nice, rich and clear picture."
