If you need a lightweight laptop with a long battery life for tasks like browsing, writing, and other general use, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is a more portable and affordable option. On the other hand, if you work on engineering, 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming and require a powerful processor, superior graphics, and more storage, but don't mind investing more and dealing with a heavier and larger machine with shorter battery life, the MSI Stealth GS77 is tailored for these high-performance needs. The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for general use, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is good.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is well-suited for general use due to its high-quality screen, lightweight design, and fanless operation which leads to a silent use experience, complemented by excellent battery life. The MSI Stealth GS77 offers a significantly more powerful CPU and more RAM for demanding tasks, a larger and faster screen for an immersive experience, superior storage capacity, but it trades off portability and battery life due to its larger size and power requirements.

The MSI Stealth GS77 is good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is only fair.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is less optimal for 3D work and gaming because it has an integrated GPU that isn't as powerful as dedicated gaming GPUs and it runs MacOS, which doesn't support many popular games; plus, its screen has a lower refresh rate which isn't ideal for fast-paced visuals.

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is good.
The MSI Stealth GS77 outperforms the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) in engineering and design due to its more robust Intel i7 processor, substantially higher RAM, and superior Nvidia RTX GPU, offering better performance for resource-intensive tasks. However, the MacBook Pro, with its high-resolution IPS screen and Apple M2 GPU, provides ample power for most engineering and design applications in a more portable package with better battery life and silent operation.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13's high resolution and bright, color-accurate display enhance its screen quality for general use and engineering, where detail and color fidelity are crucial, but its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications that benefit from smoother visuals. The MSI Stealth GS77 also boasts a high-quality display with excellent resolution and impressive color gamut coverage, suiting it for general tasks as well as engineering and design work where precise color representation is vital. However, despite its suitability for general and professional use, the Stealth's lower refresh rate compared to dedicated gaming machines means that it may not offer the optimal experience expected in gaming or 3D environments, where fluid motion is key.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
