The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MacBook Pro 13's high resolution and brightness paired with an advanced panel provide a crisp and vibrant display, essential for general use, and the wide color gamut ensures accurate color representation crucial for engineering and design tasks. However, for 3D applications, its screen falls short due to a standard refresh rate, which is less optimal for smooth rendering of fast-moving images. The Surface Laptop Go 2 offers a good display with adequate resolution and brightness for day-to-day tasks and solid color reproduction for engineering and design work but lacks in high refresh rates needed for gaming and 3D visuals.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 review is a compact companion with old hardware. The Surface Laptop Go 2 shows some weaknesses. Microsoft didn't really develop the second generation of the Surface Laptop Go 2 any further but has only equipped it with a slightly more powerful Core i5 processor. However, the performance still remains at a fairly low level overall, but for many users, it definitely should still be sufficient for everyday tasks."
