For general use and portability, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 with its longer battery life, high build quality, and more compact size is an excellent choice; it's also silent with no fan noise. However, if performance in 3D rendering, engineering, or gaming is a priority, along with a larger and higher refresh rate screen, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 with its powerful GPU and more RAM will outshine the MacBook. The Lenovo is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use. The MacBook typically costs slightly less, if budget is a major consideration. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is good.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers a higher RAM capacity, more powerful AMD and Nvidia combination for CPU and GPU, which are crucial for engineering and design tasks, and a larger, higher-refresh rate screen that can provide smoother visuals. In contrast, while the Apple MacBook Pro 13 provides a high-quality IPS display and impressive color coverage, its lower RAM and integrated GPU may not match the processing and graphical intensity needed for more demanding engineering and design applications, though it excels in portability and has a longer battery life.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13's high-resolution Retina display offers crisp visuals and excellent color accuracy, which are important for engineering and design tasks needing detailed graphics, but its standard refresh rate isn’t suited for 3D applications where smoother motion provided by higher refresh rates is crucial. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a display that equally supports color-sensitive work thanks to wide color gamuts, but for gaming and 3D rendering, the lack of a high refresh rate means it won't provide the optimal smoothness experienced in fast-paced scenes. Both laptops, with their emphasis on screen resolution and color accuracy over refresh rates, cater better to professional creative work rather than to the demands of high-end gaming or 3D applications that rely heavily on rapid image changes.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
