The Apple MacBook Pro 13 is better for long battery life and silent operation, with its lightweight design making it highly portable for general use, whereas the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers superior performance for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks due to its powerful processor and graphics card, alongside more RAM and storage, but it is heavier and may not be as portable. Both laptops are similarly priced and are suitable for both general use and professional applications, but the Legion's gaming performance stands out. If portability and battery life are your priorities, the MacBook Pro is the better choice, but if you require a laptop for high-performance tasks and more intense computing, the Legion Slim 7 is more suitable, albeit with a potential compromise on battery life and portability. How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
