For a balance of portability, battery life, and general performance, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 with its fanless design and excellent build quality is a strong choice, especially for everyday tasks and light creative work. However, if you prioritize raw power for demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or machine learning, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i's high-performance CPU and GPU, along with its higher refresh rate screen, make it the better option, despite its bulkier design and shorter battery life. The Legion's advanced connectivity options also cater to a more versatile usage scenario. Choose the MacBook Pro for its all-day battery, sleek design, and silent operation, or opt for the Legion Pro 7i if performance and connectivity for intensive tasks are your main concerns. How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
