The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) has a stronger build quality and slightly better battery life, while being recommended for premium business use, general use and is good for engineering but less so for intensive gaming or 3D/machine learning. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i offers more storage, a larger screen, and more RAM for typically less money, with a focus on portability and general use. It's less suited for intense tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering. Neither laptop has a touchscreen or is optimized for gaming, but both have decent heat management and are fairly portable. If budget is a constraint and general use is the primary need with some light engineering, the Lenovo might be more appealing. However, if you're willing to pay more for a sturdier build and better performance with Apple's ecosystem, go for the MacBook Pro. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i for general use, AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) boasts a high-resolution display with bright, vibrant colors, appealing to general users and engineers or designers who rely on precise color representation for their work. However, its refresh rate isn't as high as gaming-oriented laptops, making it less suitable for 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i offers a balanced display that satisfies both general purposes and professional design needs, but like the MacBook, it falls short in gaming and 3D tasks due to a lower refresh rate not tailored for those activities.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Among Lenovo's multiple laptop brands, the IdeaPad family is decidedly the one designed for consumers: people who want decent performance at a reasonable price. Consider, then, this laptop a paragon for the pickier members of that crowd. With a 14-inch touch-enabled display, a comfortable keyboard, an Evo-certified Intel Core i7 11th Generation CPU, and the latest Windows 11 operating system, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro ultraportable ($1,199 as tested) is a slick mainstream machine at a bit of a premium price, and quite capable for everyday tasks."
