When considering the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) versus the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, the MacBook Pro is the higher-end option and generally offers better performance, especially for engineering and creative tasks that benefit from its high-quality display. The MacBook Pro provides a long battery life, a premium build, and is lightweight for its power, making it more portable despite a slightly smaller screen. The IdeaPad Slim 3 is more affordable, has a larger screen, and includes a touchscreen, which could be advantageous for certain interactive tasks. However, it has less powerful components, resulting in weaker performance for intensive 3D, machine learning, or gaming applications. The Lenovo also has a shorter battery life and is slightly heavier, which may affect portability. Choose the MacBook Pro for demanding tasks and better portability if the budget allows, or opt for the IdeaPad for more casual use and savings. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro typically offers Retina displays with high resolution and brightness, making it excellent for general tasks and design where clarity and color accuracy are key. However, the MacBook Pro's standard refresh rate is not ideal for 3D applications that benefit from higher refresh rates for smoother visuals. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 offers adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and engineering software, but its more modest color range and refresh rate may not satisfy professionals in design or gamers looking for rich colors and fluid motion.

"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
