If you prioritize a quiet machine with a longer battery life and a Retina display for sharp images, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 would suit you well. However, it has less storage and memory. The HP Omen 16, on the other hand, offers more power for 3D tasks, machine learning, and gaming because of its high-performance processor and dedicated graphics card. It also has more storage and a higher refresh rate display for smoother visuals, but it’s heavier and might have a shorter battery life compared to the MacBook Pro, making it less portable. Choose the MacBook Pro for portability and everyday tasks, or the Omen for gaming, engineering, and performance-demanding applications. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 offers a retina display which affords crisp resolution and brightness, enhancing the visual experience for general use, and also covers a wide color gamut, important for color accuracy in engineering and design tasks. However, its display refresh rate is lower making it less suitable for 3D applications where high refresh rates are crucial for smooth rendering. In contrast, the HP Omen 16 provides acceptable resolution and brightness for general and engineering use but falls short in 3D gaming, as its screen quality doesn't match the high refresh rate demands of modern games.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the HP Omen 16 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
