If you prioritize a laptop with better build quality, higher screen resolution, and longer battery life, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is a considerable option, but it commands a higher price. It is also more portable due to its lower weight and compact size. Conversely, the Gateway 15.6" offers more storage space and RAM for multitasking at a lower cost, which may benefit you if you require more resources for less intensive tasks. However, you would be compromising on screen quality, battery life, and overall build. Neither of these laptops is ideal for intensive gaming. Choose the MacBook Pro if your work involves software that runs better on macOS or if you prefer its ecosystem. If you're budget-conscious but require a larger screen and more resources for everyday tasks, the Gateway could better meet your needs. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MacBook Pro 13's display offers higher resolution and brightness, which enhances the clarity and visibility for everyday tasks, while its superior color gamut coverage renders precise colors for engineering and design work. The Gateway's lower resolution and brightness result in less crisp and vibrant visuals, making it adequate but not exceptional for general and design needs. However, for 3D applications where refresh rate is crucial, both laptops fall short, with the MacBook's higher quality display not compensating for a lack of high refresh rate, which is essential for smooth motion rendering in gaming and 3D modeling.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Gateway 15.6" compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
