If you prioritize longer battery life and a more robust build quality, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) would suit you well, also offering a higher-quality keyboard and better heat management. However, keep in mind it generally costs more. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 provides more storage and double the RAM for handling more tasks simultaneously, which is cost-effective. It also runs on Windows, which might be a preference or requirement for certain software. Despite the lower resolution compared to the MacBook, the Inspiron remains suitable for daily use and less graphic-intensive tasks. Both laptops compromise somewhat on portability due to their build and weight, yet remain highly functional for general use. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the MacBook Pro's higher resolution and brighter display make it superior in sharpness and visibility under various lighting conditions compared to the Dell Inspiron. When it comes to engineering and design, the MacBook Pro excels because of its wide color gamut, ensuring accurate color representation which professionals require, whereas the Inspiron's more limited color range might not be sufficient for precision work. However, for 3D applications, the MacBook Pro falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can affect the smoothness of motion rendering, while the Dell Inspiron, though not optimal, may also struggle with refresh rate constraints for these tasks.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
