Selecting between the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 depends on your priorities. The MacBook Pro is less expensive, lighter, and offers a longer battery life, making it more suitable for portability and general use. The ZenBook Pro Duo offers a larger screen with higher resolution, more RAM, and a powerful processor and graphics card, which better serves engineering, 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which affects portability. The ZenBook has a second touchscreen, adding to its multitasking capabilities. Both have backlit keyboards and multiple USB-C ports; the MacBook is fanless for silent operation, while the ZenBook includes additional features like a number pad and ray tracing capabilities. The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 boasts a high-resolution Retina display that excels in brightness and color accuracy, making it ideal for general use and tasks that require precise color representation, like engineering and design. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 also offers a sharp display with excellent color coverage essential for professional design work, but its screen might not be optimal for gaming or 3D applications due to a standard refresh rate. "The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us."
