If you prioritize a high-quality display for activities like photo editing, the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED stands out with its OLED screen, which is known for vibrant colors and deep blacks. Additionally, this laptop offers a touch screen and is generally less expensive than the MacBook Pro. However, the Apple MacBook Pro is renowned for its superior build quality, which means it's likely to feel more premium and sturdy. With its Apple M2 chip, the MacBook Pro provides impressive performance for general use and engineering tasks and boasts a longer battery life, which makes it suitable for all-day use without needing a recharge. In contrast, the Zenbook has a higher refresh rate display, which could benefit fast-paced tasks and entertainment. The MacBook Pro is lighter and thus more portable, but the Zenbook provides a larger screen and more storage space. If you rely on specific macOS applications or prefer its ecosystem, then the MacBook Pro would be the way to go; otherwise, Windows on the Zenbook offers a versatile experience for many users. If you prioritize vibrant colors and sharp text for everyday tasks or professional design work, both the MacBook Pro and the ASUS Zenbook offer excellent displays with high resolution and brightness, ensuring crisp and clear visuals. For those engaged in engineering and design, the color accuracy provided by their wide color gamuts is crucial for ensuring your work appears consistent and true to life. However, for 3D applications and gaming, which benefit from smoother motion and faster refresh rates, these laptops may not be as suitable due to their standard refresh rates, which aren't optimized for such high-intensity graphics tasks.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED and Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) has an integrated GPU designed mostly for efficiency and not high-end gaming or 3D applications, and its 60Hz screen refresh rate is standard for smooth video but not ideal for fast-paced games that benefit from higher refresh rates. The ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED offers a high-refresh OLED screen which is great for immersive gaming and vibrant visuals for 3D work, but like the MacBook, its integrated GPU while competent for moderate use, is not tailored for demanding gaming or professional 3D tasks, and many popular games may not be compatible with its Windows operating system.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"While one of the more budget-friendly configurations of the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED may make a compelling case as a top value pick, it’s difficult to be disappointed with the more expensive model we reviewed here. At its core, for all models, it’s a luxury-built laptop with extreme portability and a gorgeous OLED display. Our unit rocks with a snappy Core i9 processor for getting real work done, and the discrete GPU—even if it has a clear power ceiling—is a bonus for creative pros."
