If performance and a seamless experience with other Apple products are priorities for you, and you're okay with a higher price, consider the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022). It's also known for its build quality and reliable operating system. On the other hand, if you want a more budget-friendly option with decent performance that's also lightweight and portable, the ASUS Zenbook 14 might be a good choice. Remember, the MacBook Pro may offer better video editing capabilities and a longer battery life, while the Zenbook could give you more flexibility with a variety of ports and a Windows operating system, which is more compatible with a wider range of software, especially in business environments. Keep in mind the ecosystem you are invested in; if you have other Apple devices, the MacBook Pro will work more seamlessly with them. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook 14 for software development, and content creation, while the ASUS Zenbook 14 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The MacBook Pro 13's display offers high resolution and brightness, which makes it appealing for everyday tasks and professional design work where fine detail and color accuracy are crucial. However, its standard refresh rate isn't suitable for high-end 3D applications where smoother motion representation is essential.
The ASUS Zenbook 14 also boasts a sharp, bright display with a wide color palette, aligning with the needs of general users and professionals in design fields requiring true-to-life colors. But similar to the MacBook Pro, it lacks the higher refresh rate gamers and 3D applications benefit from, leading to less fluid motion visuals in those contexts.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and ASUS Zenbook 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) has a superior display quality with high brightness and color accuracy, but its GPU and 60Hz screen refresh rate limit its capabilities in both 3D tasks and gaming performance. Comparatively, the ASUS Zenbook 14 provides a higher 90Hz refresh rate which benefits gaming, but many games aren't compatible with its operating system; additionally, its GPU, while adequate for fair gaming and 3D work, doesn't match high-end gaming laptops.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is well-suited for engineering and design thanks to its powerful Apple M2 chip, high screen brightness, and wider color coverage, making it ideal for precise visual work, although its portability is slightly less favorable due to a heavier build compared to the ASUS Zenbook 14, which offers similar CPU performance, generous RAM for multitasking, and an OLED screen with higher resolution and contrast for sharp images, yet it has a less solid build quality and higher operating noise.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS Zenbook 14 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."
