The Apple MacBook Pro 13 offers a robust build quality, excellent battery life, and a high-resolution display with accurate color reproduction, making it a strong contender for general use and professional tasks that don't require heavy graphics processing. Its fanless design ensures silent operation, which is ideal for quiet environments. However, it's priced higher and has limited upgradeability, with no option to expand RAM or storage.
On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED presents a more budget-friendly option with an impressive OLED display that delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks, enhancing the visual experience for media consumption and light gaming. It also offers a hardware upgrade path with available RAM and storage slots. The inclusion of an Intel Arc GPU provides better graphics performance than the MacBook Pro's integrated solution, catering to casual gaming and some creative workloads. However, its battery life is shorter, and the overall build quality may not match that of the MacBook Pro.
If you prioritize a longer battery life, a more premium build, and a reliable, silent machine for everyday tasks and light professional work, the MacBook Pro is the way to go. But if you're looking for a more affordable laptop with a stunning display and better graphics capabilities, along with the option to upgrade components in the future, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED would be a suitable choice. How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
