The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) offers longer battery life, a higher build quality, and is more suitable for general use thanks to its Apple M2 processor. It's more expensive but has excellent heat management with silent operation and higher portability due to its fanless design and slightly lower weight. The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 comes at a lower cost with an OLED screen that's better for color-sensitive work, a faster refresh rate for smoother visuals, and a larger screen size. Its battery life is shorter, and while it has adequate performance for general use and light engineering tasks, it may not handle intensive engineering or 3D/machine learning applications as well as the MacBook. If portability and build quality are your priority and you're ready to invest more, choose the MacBook Pro. But if you prioritize screen quality and seek better value for money, consider the Asus Vivobook Pro. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is highly suitable for general use due to its high-quality CPU and RAM that facilitates smooth multitasking, a superior screen with excellent color coverage and brightness, and an impressive battery life combined with great portability. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 still offers good CPU and RAM for general tasks, but with a lower quality display in terms of brightness and notable operating noise, it may be less suited for extended use or environments where quietness is crucial. The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 for software development, and content creation, while the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 offers a high-resolution display which provides sharpness and clarity suitable for both general computing and design tasks, alongside a bright screen that enhances visibility and a color-accurate panel that covers a wide color gamut, ensuring that designers see true-to-life colors. However, its standard refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications, which benefit from higher refresh rates for smoother visuals. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 also provides a high-resolution, color-accurate display that caters well to general users and professionals in engineering and design, but like the MacBook, it falls short for gaming and 3D uses due to its standard refresh rate, not delivering the fluid motion desired in those areas.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The Asus Vivobook Pro 14 OLED is a Pantone Validated laptop that packs a lot of processing power. The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 OLED's highlight is its outstanding display: Featuring a 3K resolution in the 16:10 format and nearly a 100% coverage of the Display P3 color space, the display hardly leaves anything to be desired. The Asus laptop also shows impeccable rates in terms of general system performance. Combined with long battery life, low noise emissions, and relatively good speakers, the laptop can be recommended to users who can accept compromises in terms of connectivity."
