If you prioritize a laptop with higher storage capacity and a larger screen, which may be preferable for viewing multiple windows or media consumption, the ASUS Vivobook 15X is a good choice and generally costs less. However, it has a lower battery life and may be less suitable for tasks requiring high color accuracy or outdoor visibility. On the other hand, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022), while more expensive, offers better performance for engineering and creative tasks due to its powerful M2 chip, superior build quality, and longer battery life, while also ranking high in keyboard quality and providing a quieter user experience with its fanless design. It's also lighter and better for portability but comes with less storage space out of the box. Both laptops will deliver a solid experience for general use, but the MacBook Pro is often favored for its higher quality screen and for users deeply integrated into the Apple ecosystem. The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15X for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MacBook Pro 13 boasts a high-resolution display with exceptional brightness and color accuracy, making it excellent for professionals in engineering and design who rely on precise color rendering, and for general users who appreciate a sharp and vibrant screen. The Asus Vivobook 15X, with lesser brightness and color accuracy, provides a decent but less impressive visual experience for both general computing and design tasks. However, for 3D applications or gaming, where high refresh rates are crucial for smooth motion, neither of these laptops excels, as they are not built with high refresh rate screens which are essential for those fields.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS Vivobook 15X compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"All in all, my day on the Vivobook had its ups and downs. It is a really pretty and well-built device, and it had all of the functionality I needed to get me through my browser-based workload. But the speakers weren’t my favorite, and the battery life was just too short."
