The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) is more portable and offers a higher screen resolution, making it suitable for professionals who prioritize mobility and crisp visuals for tasks like photo editing. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 has a larger screen and more powerful components that provide excellent performance for 3D rendering, engineering, and gaming. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable but better for intensive tasks where raw power is crucial. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 for general use, and engineering and design, while the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 has a better screen for software development.
The MacBook Pro's screen is known for its high resolution and brightness, which makes for a crisp, clear display essential for everyday tasks and detail-oriented work like engineering and design, further enhanced by an excellent color gamut that showcases accurate colors. The ASUS TUF Gaming, while adequate for day-to-day use and professional work, lacks the superior color range and brightness of the MacBook Pro, leading to less vibrancy and detail in visual content. However, for 3D applications and gaming, a high refresh rate is crucial to reduce motion blur and provide smoother visuals, an area where the gaming-oriented ASUS may have an edge, although it still falls short in terms of providing an optimal gaming experience.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"There is one big question that needs an answer. Is the TUF Gaming A17 FA707 a better purchase than the ROG Strix G17 G713R (2022)? Well, it depends. Undoubtedly, the Strix is the more premium product. Arguably the biggest advantage it has over its TUF fellow is in regards to the display. ASUS TUF Gaming A17 A707’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio."
