Choosing between the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 depends on your priorities. If you prioritize a lightweight, silent laptop with a longer battery life, and you're mainly interested in general use, the MacBook Air, which is less expensive, is better suited for you. However, if you need a powerful laptop for 3D rendering, machine learning, engineering tasks, or gaming, the ASUS, while more expensive and heavier, provides superior performance for these more demanding activities and features a touch-screen OLED display for enhanced screen colors and high screen resolution. The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Air 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The MacBook Air's high resolution and brightness make it great for general use, and its wide color coverage suits engineering and design tasks, but a lower refresh rate hinders 3D performance. The ZenBook Pro Duo's impressive screen delivers similar benefits for general tasks and creative work due to its color accuracy and quality. However, gamers and 3D artists might find its screen lacking because of a refresh rate that isn’t optimized for fast-paced visuals.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us."
