The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is a midrange laptop that typically costs more and offers better performance for general use, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks compared to the ASUS Vivobook Go 15. It has a high-resolution display, more storage, and longer battery life, plus it benefits from the efficiency of the Apple M2 chip. The MacBook is also lighter and has a slightly bigger screen. However, the Vivobook Go 15 is a budget-friendly option with Windows 11S that could still meet basic needs, but it has lower storage capacity and weaker performance. Its display is lower quality, which is less suitable for color-intensive tasks, and the battery life is shorter. The Vivobook Go is slightly heavier and more suitable for less demanding applications. The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) excels in general use due to its superior M2 processor, more RAM, and a high-quality IPS screen with better resolution, contributing to overall smoother performance and viewing experience; its lightweight design, coupled with long battery life, enhances its portability and usability on the go. By contrast, the ASUS Vivobook Go 15, with a basic Celeron processor, less RAM, and a lower-quality TN screen, offers less power and a less impressive display which may affect multitasking and visual tasks, and although it is lightweight, it falls short on battery life and overall build quality compared to the MacBook.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is only fair for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 is poor.
The Apple MacBook Air 15's fair suitability for 3D is due to its integrated Apple M2 GPU with more graphics cores, which can handle 3D tasks better than the ASUS Vivobook Go 15's basic Intel UHD Graphics 600. However, gaming is limited on the MacBook Air due to macOS's incompatibility with many popular games, while the Vivobook's poorer 3D capability for gaming results from its weaker GPU and lower overall performance. Both laptops have similar screen refresh rates, which are standard for general use but not exceptional for gaming or high-end 3D applications.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 15 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a crisp display with vibrant colors for daily tasks or professional design work, the Apple MacBook Air boasts superior resolution and brightness, and covers a broad spectrum of colors, making it suitable for both general use and engineering applications. However, for enthusiasts in 3D gaming or creation where fluid motion is crucial, the MacBook Air may fall short due to a lower refresh rate. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook Go, with its lower quality display across these aspects, won't deliver the same level of visual detail or color accuracy in any of the mentioned scenarios.

"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The Asus Vivobook Go 15 is a good option if you’re looking for one device to tackle a bunch of smaller problems. For simple school studies, portable evening entertainment or distractions, and getting household admin or light office workloads out of the way, it’s a great little package with respectable battery life, and a great contender for the advent of cloud gaming."
