The Apple MacBook Air 15 with the M2 chip is designed for silent, fanless operation, providing a balance between performance and efficient energy consumption that suits general use, including everyday tasks and light creative work. Its display is higher resolution and it's lighter and thinner, enhancing portability. However, if you need a laptop for more intensive tasks like 3D work, machine learning, or gaming, the ASUS TUF Dash 15 with an RTX 3060 graphics card might be a better option, as it's built for such purposes. Although heavier and thicker, the ASUS offers a higher refresh rate screen for smoother visuals and more storage and RAM out of the box, beneficial for demanding applications and multitasking. The battery life appears more substantial in the MacBook Air, which might be a critical factor if you often work on the go away from power outlets. The MacBook runs on MacOS while the ASUS operates on Windows 11 Home, so consider which operating system you prefer. Give Feedback

The ASUS TUF Dash 15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) is only fair.
The ASUS TUF Dash 15 excels in gaming and 3D because it features a high-refresh-rate screen and a dedicated Nvidia RTX GPU, which are very important for smooth visuals and detailed graphics. In contrast, the Apple MacBook Air 15's GPU is less powerful, and despite its high-quality display, the lower refresh rate and lack of compatibility with many popular games limit its efficiency for gaming and 3D applications.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Dash 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Air offers a high-resolution display and brightness, making it excellent for everyday tasks, and its superior color gamut coverage benefits engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial. While the ASUS TUF Dash 15 provides ample brightness and a decent resolution that's fine for general use and satisfactory for engineering and design purposes, it may not be as color-accurate as the MacBook Air. However, both laptops fall short for 3D applications since neither offers a high refresh rate, which is essential for smooth visuals in fast-paced 3D environments.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the ASUS TUF Dash 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The Asus TUF Dash F15 FX517ZR is a laptop with mobile RTX 3070 and acceptable battery life. The Asus TUF Dash F15 was made for high-performance applications like video editing, rendering, and gaming. The laptop can manage the latter in QHD resolution and at high to maximum settings. However, the focus isn't on maximum performance, but instead, it's about a compromise between performance and portability."
