The MacBook Air 15 (2023) offers a larger screen and is slightly less expensive than the MacBook Pro 13 (2022), but they share the same processor and graphics unit, ensuring similar performance levels. The MacBook Pro, although smaller, has a longer battery life, making it more suitable for those who need to work for extended periods away from a power source. Both have high-quality displays with similar color accuracy; however, the Pro's screen is smaller, which contributes to its longer battery life. The decision hinges on whether you prefer a larger display and a slightly lower cost or greater portability with longer battery between charges. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air 15 has a better screen than the Apple MacBook Pro 13 for AI, software development, and content creation.
For general use, both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro offer crisp visuals and ample brightness, making texts sharp and colors vivid, which is pleasing for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos. When it comes to engineering and design, their wide color gamuts ensure accurate color representation, which is crucial for professional photo editing and graphic design. However, their lower refresh rates limit the smoothness needed in 3D environments, making them less ideal for tasks like 3D modeling or gaming that benefit from higher frame rates.

The Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The MacBook Air 15 (2023) and MacBook Pro 13 (2022) are rated similarly for 3D tasks because both use the same Apple M2 GPU with a 10-core configuration, which provides adequate but not top-tier performance for graphical tasks, and they also both have the same screen refresh rate of 60Hz which is suitable for basic 3D applications but may not be optimal for high-end gaming or professional graphics work. Although the Air offers a slightly larger and brighter screen, enhancing the visual experience, both models have similar screen quality, with high resolution and color accuracy that contribute to the overall 3D experience.

How the Apple MacBook Air 15 (2023) and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air 15 is boringly good. The new MacBook Air 15 is a very good, but also boring device, because apart from the larger screen and the higher price, there are no differences compared to the smaller MacBook Air M2 from last year. No new processor, no additional ports, just the usual basic hardware - but the overall package is extremely good and it simply works. Above all, the lack of fans is an aspect that should not be underestimated in everyday use. In our opinion, the Air could be a lot better, but Apple goes easy on itself here."
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
