The MacBook Air is more affordable, lighter, and has a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and on-the-go tasks, with a high-quality display. However, it might not be the best for demanding tasks due to its less powerful integrated graphics. The Razer Blade 15 is more expensive and heavier but comes with a more potent processor and dedicated graphics, making it better for gaming, 3D work, and engineering applications; it also features a backlit keyboard with customizable colors, but its battery life is shorter. Therefore, if you prioritize mobility and battery life for everyday tasks, the MacBook Air would be a suitable choice; if performance in demanding applications and gaming is more crucial, consider the Razer Blade 15. The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Apple MacBook Air (2022) is good.
The Razer Blade 15, with its high-end Intel processor, double the RAM of the MacBook Air, and a powerful Nvidia graphics card, offers superior performance for resource-intensive engineering and design software. While the MacBook Air is lighter and boasts a higher-resolution screen and silent operation, the Razer Blade's superior specs and larger screen with a higher refresh rate make it better suited for demanding engineering tasks, though it is less portable and has a shorter battery life. .

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Razer Blade 15 for software development, while the Razer Blade 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Air's display offers crisp images and vibrant colors, making it suitable for general use and engineering tasks that demand accuracy in color representation; however, its lower refresh rate may not be ideal for 3D applications where fluid motion is key. The Razer Blade 15, with a high-resolution display and wide color gamuts, provides a great experience for both everyday activities and color-sensitive engineering and design work. Yet, like the MacBook Air, it may fall short for gaming and 3D use due to a less optimal refresh rate, despite its strong overall visual performance.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the Razer Blade 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
