The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the LG Gram 16 for general use, AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Apple MacBook Air focuses on high resolution and bright displays with vibrant colors, making it suitable for general tasks and visually demanding engineering or design work; however, the lack of a high refresh rate hinders its performance for 3D applications where smooth motion is critical. The LG Gram 16 offers a balance with a clear and bright display that also handles a wide color gamut well for professional creative tasks but, like the MacBook Air, falls short in gaming and 3D due to its standard refresh rate. For both devices, their screen qualities reflect a prioritization of sharpness, color accuracy, and brightness over the fast refresh rates preferred in high-end gaming or 3D modeling environments.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
