When deciding between the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the ASUS TUF Gaming A17, consider your primary needs. The MacBook Air is known for its sleek design, light weight, and long battery life, making it ideal for general use, business applications, and portability. On the other hand, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 is designed for gaming and performance-intensive tasks with its robust hardware, which also makes it heavier and possibly with a shorter battery life compared to the MacBook Air. However, as a gaming laptop, it may not be as slim or light as the MacBook Air, affecting its portability. The MacBook Air is also typically favored for its user-friendly macOS environment, while the ASUS would appeal to those who prefer Windows or intend to use specialized software that requires more powerful graphics capabilities. Consider your budget as well, as gaming laptops like the ASUS TUF A17 are often priced higher due to their advanced hardware. Choose the MacBook Air for everyday tasks and portability or the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 for gaming and high-demand applications. Give Feedback

In contrast, the Apple MacBook Air (2022) offers a lower refresh rate and an integrated GPU that's part of the Apple M2 chip, suitable for casual 3D tasks and preferred for users valuing portability and battery life but falls short for gaming, particularly as many games are not available on macOS.

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 for general use, engineering and design, and software development, while the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 has a better screen for software development.
The MacBook Air's screen offers a high resolution and brightness, making it crisp and visible in various lighting conditions for general activities, while its wide color gamut ensures accurate colors essential for engineering and design work, but it is not designed with a high refresh rate, limiting its appeal for 3D applications. In contrast, the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and design, but it doesn't showcase as wide a color range which professionals may require, and although meant for gaming, its refresh rate is not optimal for the smoothest 3D experiences. Therefore, for crisp text and vivid general usage, the MacBook excels; for precise color work in engineering and design, it's still preferable; but for the most immersive 3D and gaming sessions, neither of these laptops is ideal.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the ASUS TUF Gaming A17 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"There is one big question that needs an answer. Is the TUF Gaming A17 FA707 a better purchase than the ROG Strix G17 G713R (2022)? Well, it depends. Undoubtedly, the Strix is the more premium product. Arguably the biggest advantage it has over its TUF fellow is in regards to the display. ASUS TUF Gaming A17 A707’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio."
