The Apple MacBook Air is less expensive, lighter, and has a longer battery life, which makes it very portable and suitable for general use like web browsing, word processing, and light photo editing. It is fanless and operates silently, but is less suited for intensive tasks. The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15, on the other hand, is geared towards gaming and engineering with a powerful processor and high-end graphics card, it can handle demanding software and games. However, it's heavier, has a shorter battery life, and comes at a higher price, which could be a concern if portability and budget are priorities for you. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 for general use, engineering and design, and software development, while the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen for gaming and AI, and software development.
The MacBook Air's screen offers clear resolution and high brightness, making it ideal for everyday tasks and providing accuracy in color-critical work such as engineering and design due to its strong coverage of color gamuts. The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 also presents a good resolution and adequate brightness for daily activities and has respectable color space representation for technical applications, yet its lower refresh rate hinders the smooth visuals crucial for immersive 3D experiences. Therefore, while both laptops are suitable for general and creative professional tasks, those interested in 3D applications may find the ASUS lacking in providing the fluidity expected in fast-paced visuals.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2022) and the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
