For general use, both the Acer Swift X and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offer clarity and vibrancy due to their high resolution and brightness levels, making them suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos. Engineering and design professionals will appreciate the wide color gamuts on both laptops, ensuring precise color reproduction for tasks such as photo editing and CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short as their lower refresh rates do not provide the smooth visuals that are critical for fast-paced games and fluid animation work.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
