If you prioritize a laptop with a lighter weight for greater portability, the Acer Swift Edge 16 is the better choice, but if you require more power for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i with its dedicated graphics card is more suitable, though it is heavier and has a slightly shorter battery life. The Acer has superior screen quality with OLED technology but less storage, while the Lenovo has a larger battery capacity and more screen brightness. Both are good for general use and engineering tasks, so consider what you value more: portability and screen quality or raw performance and storage. Give Feedback

PCWorld

Matthew S. Smith | October 2023
"The Acer Swift Edge 16 is a solid super thin-and-light that pairs a large, gorgeous 16-inch display with portable design that rivals the weight of LG’s superlight Gram 16. Remarkably, Acer achieves this at a lower price point without sacrificing performance. Boring design and disappointing battery life hold the laptop back from stardom, but its rivals frequently suffer in these areas, too. That makes the Swift Edge 16 an alluring value pick."

Tom's Hardware

Brandon Hill | January 2024
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
