The Acer Swift 3 and LG Ultra 13 are both good for general use, though the Acer Swift 3 is somewhat better.
The Acer Swift 3 stands out in general use due to its high-quality IPS screen with touch capability, ample RAM, and a robust Intel CPU, ensuring smooth multitasking and crisp visuals, although its portability and battery life are only moderately accommodating. The LG Ultra 13, while offering comparable RAM and an efficient AMD CPU suitable for everyday tasks, shines with its superior portability and noteworthy screen quality, at the cost of a slightly shorter battery life and less storage capacity.

The Acer Swift 3 has a better screen than the LG Ultra 13 for software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the Acer Swift 3 and LG Ultra 13 offer displays with sufficient resolution and brightness, and their panel types provide clear images and wide viewing angles, making them suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, where color accuracy is crucial, both laptops deliver on color coverage, ensuring that professionals can work with a wide color palette for precise editing and modeling. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their screens fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion and slower response times, detracting from the immersive and fast-paced experience desired in these scenarios.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the LG Ultra 13 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"The 13.3-inch LG Gram is a fine fit if you need to travel as light as possible for as long as possible without spending a fortune to do it. It might not be particularly sturdy or have an eye-catching design and its webcam is less than ideal, but with its sharp touch display, comfortable backlit keyboard, responsive touchpad and a fingerprint reader for extra security, the Gram makes a respectible everyday laptop for business or school work."
