If portability and battery life are high priorities for you, the Acer Swift 14 is lighter and more compact which could make it easier to carry around. The MSI Stealth 14 Studio, while heavier, offers higher graphics performance due to its Nvidia graphics card, making it better suited for gaming, 3D rendering, and other graphics-intensive tasks. Note that the higher performance of the MSI might also translate into shorter battery life. The display on the MSI has a higher refresh rate, which is beneficial for gaming and video editing, but the Acer has a slightly higher resolution, likely offering crisper images for everyday use and media consumption. If your work mainly involves general use or you desire a lighter device with potentially longer battery life, the Acer might be more suitable, despite its slightly higher price. However, if you need the laptop for more demanding graphics-related tasks and can handle a bit more weight, the MSI could justify the cost saving with its enhanced capabilities.

The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift 14 is only fair.
The Acer Swift 14 offers an integrated GPU suitable for casual gaming and some light 3D tasks with a standard screen refresh rate, while the MSI Stealth 14 Studio, equipped with a more powerful dedicated Nvidia GPU and a vastly higher screen refresh rate, is better suited for intensive gaming and 3D applications; the MSI also boasts better screen quality and a more capable CPU, though it comes at a likely higher price and with reduced portability due to its increased weight.

The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift 14 is good.
The Acer Swift 14, with its high-resolution display and efficient integrated graphics, is good for engineering and design tasks where screen clarity is important but intensive graphics performance is not critical. In contrast, the MSI Stealth 14 Studio has a dedicated Nvidia graphics card and a higher battery capacity, making it very suitable for more graphically demanding engineering and design work even though it's heavier and slightly larger, reducing its portability compared to the Acer.

The Acer Swift 14 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth 14 Studio for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI Stealth 14 Studio has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, where panel type, resolution, and brightness matter, the Acer Swift 14's display provides clarity and vividness suitable for daily tasks like browsing and document editing but could feel lacking for users needing ultra-high resolution or exceptional brightness. In engineering and design, color accuracy is vital, and the Swift 14's screen covers a wider color gamut, offering more precise hues, which benefits professional photo editing and graphic design. However, for 3D applications and gaming, where high refresh rates are crucial, both laptops fall short, as they prioritize resolution and color fidelity over the fluid motion that comes with higher refresh rates.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the MSI Stealth 14 Studio compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"You'll find a versatility in the MSI Stealth 14 Studio that isn’t matched by many content-creator laptops we've tested of late. The small frame allows you to (potentially) work from anywhere with an outlet and, if noise isn’t a concern, run your most demanding of programs, thanks to some powerful hardware inside. The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is an attractive and powerful option if you want a portable laptop to be the center of your content work setup."
