The Acer Swift 14 offers better portability and a high-resolution touchscreen, ideal for general use and occasions where mobility is essential. Its performance will be sufficient for everyday activities, and it's less expensive. The Lenovo ThinkPad P16, on the other hand, features a high-quality, larger screen with no touchscreen, significantly better performance for 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks owing to its dedicated Nvidia graphics, and longer battery life, making it suitable for professionals needing powerful computing on the go. However, it is heavier, which might reduce convenience for frequent travelers. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 14 offers a clear and bright display that meets everyday needs for web browsing, document editing, and media consumption, making it suitable for general use. Its wide color gamut ensures accurate color representation for professional tasks such as CAD and graphic design, but the lower refresh rate might disappoint gamers who prefer smoother visuals in fast-paced games. The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 similarly boasts a vibrant and sharp screen ideal for both everyday tasks and color-critical work like engineering, yet its gaming performance is limited by a refresh rate not tailored for the high-speed action of many modern games.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Lenovo ThinkPad P16 to be very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift 14 is good.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P16 is preferred for engineering and design tasks over the Acer Swift 14 because it includes a professional-grade Nvidia RTX A1000 GPU and a higher resolution screen, offering more precision and power for intensive tasks; however, its heavier weight and larger size make it less portable. The Acer Swift 14, while more portable and equipped with an efficient CPU, relies on integrated graphics and a lower resolution screen, which may not meet the demands of complex engineering simulations and detailed design work.

How the Acer Swift 14 and the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
