The Acer Swift 14 offers a higher resolution touchscreen ideal for general use and productivity with a more portable design and longer battery life, making it suitable for those often on the move. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a larger screen and superior graphics hardware that excel in 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, but it is bulkier and has shorter battery life, which may not be as convenient for constant travel. If you need a lightweight laptop for business and general tasks, the Acer Swift might be the better option, whereas the Gigabyte Aorus is tailored for gaming and performance-intensive applications. How the Acer Swift 14 and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, John Peroramas | April 2023
"The Acer Swift 14 is good for school use. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around, and its battery lasts easily through a typical school day. You can configure the laptop with an FHD+ or QHD+ display; both look sharp and get bright enough to combat glare. The keyboard feels tactile but can be a little tiring to type on over an extended period, and while the touchpad is small, it's responsive to all movements and gestures. Its Intel 13th Gen. CPU can handle nearly every type of workload; however, its integrated graphics perform poorly, so it isn't ideal for students in technical fields like 3D graphics."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
